ISO 14001
The International standard ISO 14001 defines specification for an effective environmental management system (EMS). Rather than defining environmental performance standards, It offers a guideline that a company should adopt. ISO 14001 is a part of the ISO 14000 family of environmental quality standards and is a voluntary standard that can be accredited by organizations. Integrating it with other principles in management systems, most often ISO 9001, will further assist in achieving organizational objectives.
